We believe in inclusive and equitable agriculture, where every woman, regardless of her background, has access to the resources, training, and opportunities necessary to thrive.
Our actions are based on core principles: integrity and transparency, ensuring sustainable impact; collaboration, essential for building solutions tailored to local realities; and an innovative approach that integrates modern techniques and digital tools to improve agricultural productivity.
Joining Edu Call Uganda, as an intern, volunteer, or employee, means committing to uphold these values and actively contributing to positive and lasting change within rural communities.
Expectations for Interns, Volunteers, and New Team Members
Whether you are an intern or a volunteer, joining Edu Call Uganda means actively contributing to a mission of empowering female farmers, promoting sustainable development, and fostering agricultural innovation. Every member of our team plays a key role in the success of our projects, and we are looking for dedicated and passionate individuals.
Intern
Internships at Edu Call Uganda offer a unique opportunity to gain practical experience while making a tangible impact on the ground. Ranging from three to six months, these internships allow interns to immerse themselves in the daily operations of the organization. They actively participate in the implementation of agricultural projects, assist in organizing training for female farmers, and contribute to data collection as well as report writing. Their role is also essential in managing relationships with our partners and stakeholders, thus promoting the structuring and expansion of our initiatives.
Volunteer
Our volunteers play a crucial role in supporting farming communities and promoting sustainable practices. Their mission, which can last from two weeks to six months depending on availability and project needs, focuses on several key areas. They participate in training sessions and community activities, contribute to the distribution of agricultural inputs and project management, and assist in organizing events and awareness campaigns. Their presence is also invaluable in the logistical and administrative management of the organization’s activities.
Employees
The employees of Edu Call Uganda play a key role in the management and supervision of agricultural projects. They support female farmers by providing strategic and technical guidance, promoting the adoption of sustainable and profitable agricultural practices. Developing strong partnerships with local and international stakeholders is also an essential responsibility, as is managing finances and resource planning to ensure the sustainability of the initiatives.

Best Practices for Joining the Team at Edu Call Uganda
Engaging with Edu Call Uganda, whether as an intern or volunteer, is participating in a project that brings about social transformation. It’s also about joining a committed community working towards a more sustainable and equitable future.
Intern
We prioritize candidates from fields such as agronomy, project management, sustainable development, or other related sectors. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as is a keen interest in agriculture and women's empowerment. In exchange for their commitment, interns benefit from a stimulating learning environment, with mentorship and continuous training. They develop practical and professional skills while working on innovative projects within a dynamic setting.
Volunteer
No specific skills are required to become a volunteer, though knowledge in agronomy, project management, or communication is a plus. Above all, we are looking for individuals passionate about agriculture, sustainable development, and women’s empowerment, who can work in a team and adapt to diverse environments. By joining our program, volunteers gain a rewarding human and professional experience, while making a meaningful contribution to the development of farming communities. We provide support to facilitate their stay, including transport and accommodation arrangements, although these costs remain their responsibility.
Employees
We prioritize profiles with experience in agriculture, community development, finance, project management, communication, or training. Strong skills in team management, leadership, and decision-making are necessary to effectively support farmers and coordinate projects on the ground. A solid understanding of agricultural challenges and the realities of rural women is a major asset for successfully carrying out our missions.
